The Simose Foundation was established for the public good in 2018, on the occasion of Marui Sangyo Corporation's 60th anniversary. The foundation's purpose is to preserve and exhibit the artworks and handicrafts in the collection assembled by Yumiko Shimose and the late Fukuei and Shizuko Shimose. The foundation also strives to promote the cultural development of the Hiroshima region and Japan through the collection and research of Japanese and foreign artworks and handicrafts, and the planning of exhibitions and other cultural activities.
